JEM Dinners at Magna

Hello friends! Now that the cold and rainy weather is upon us, we have closed our backyard dinners for the season. That doesn't mean you can't still get a JEM experience! We are excited to announce that we have lined up a series of dinners that will be held at our good friend's restaurant, Magna, on the corner of Southeast 26th and Clinton.

To kick it all off, we will be holding a special collaboration dinner with the chef and owner of Magna, Carlo Lamagna, on November 15th. Joel and Carlo first met when they were both working in Chicago. When Joel returned to his hometown of Portland, he was thrilled to find out that Carlo had moved to the Northwest as well. Carlo opened Magna as a restaurant that explores his roots of Filipino cuisine and community. With a strong team around him, Carlo was recently named one of Food and Wine magazine's Best New Chefs in the country.

For our collaboration dinner we will be combining our two distinct styles of cooking. While our influences may come from different places, our ethos shares the same desire to create food that is both comforting and unique. Dinner starts at 7:00 and will consist of seven courses with beverage pairings included for $150. You can book your seats for what's sure to be a fun night HERE.

We also have our more traditional JEM dinners scheduled for November 22nd, December 20th, and January 10th, 17th, and 24th. For these dinners you can expect our backyard JEM experience, but in the comfort of the indoors. Dinners will begin at 7:00 and will consist of around 9 courses with beverage pairings and gratuity included for $200 per person. To make the reservation process more streamlined we will be using Brown Paper Tickets, and you can access a link to book your seats HERE. Seating is very limited so be sure to act quickly if you want to secure your seat!

We do require that all customers have valid vaccination cards, and we will follow up with you in a confirmation email.
